Why Carthage?
“I chose Carthage for a few reasons: I wanted to be a part of a small community so that I could get to know a lot of students and my professors on a personal level. I chose Carthage because I wanted to keep swimming competitively without it interfering with my schoolwork or future career, which I am able to do here at Carthage.”
Faculty mentors
“All of the Carthage faculty that I have been able to work with have been amazing. They have always been willing to go above and beyond what they are expected to do. Specifically, my advisor, Professor Colleen Palmer, has had a huge impact on my Carthage career because she helped me realize what exactly is out there when it comes to job possibilities that include my interests.”
Career goal
“I would love to work on a public relations team for a professional sports team, preferably in the baseball or football industry.”
Favorite spot on campus
“One of my favorite spots on campus is sitting in the Tower Residence Hall overlooking the lake. You always see someone you know there, and it’s just a relaxing place to hang out.”
Favorite memory
“One of my favorite memories from Carthage was during the Swim and Dive 2022 Conference meet in February 2022. It was such an amazing opportunity and experience throughout the whole meet, and it is something I will never forget.”
What would your 8-year-old self think of you now?
“I think my 8-year-old self would be surprised by what path I decided on, but I also think that she would be happy I’m just creating my own life experiences.”
