Biography
Before her time at Carthage, Liz Snider spent seven years as a part of the student involvement team at her alma mater, Lake Forest College, serving as assistant director of the Gates Center for Leadership and Personal Growth. Her work there focused on leadership development, major campus events, fraternity and sorority life, and new student orientation. She also served as the primary staff member for the Engage student organization platform and assisted with case management for their Early Action Support Team.
Before her time at Lake Forest College, Liz was a member of the executive office staff at Alpha Phi International (Women’s) Fraternity.

Main responsibilities at Carthage
As the Associate Dean of Students and Director of Student Involvement, Liz plays a key role in several areas in providing a safe and meaningful co-curricular experience for Carthage students. Her work includes oversight of clubs and organizations, fraternity and sorority life, new student orientation, and assisting students with challenges or concerns they may face during their time at Carthage.
Favorite thing about working at Carthage
“I feel like the lake is too obvious of an answer, but it is definitely a huge perk! My favorite thing about working at Carthage is the one-team mentality amongst faculty and staff. We are all working toward one goal and supporting one another in delivering an excellent experience for our students. Everyone is willing to lend a helping hand to get the job done!”
Other interests?
Some of Liz’s favorite things include coffee, true crime podcasts, and spending time at the beach. She loves traveling, celebrating holidays, Cubs baseball, and face timing her nephew, Maxwell, any chance she can.
